As a part of its 40th Anniversary celebrations and to introduce an element of healthy competition and comradeship within the AIFI family. The Association has recently introduced a scheme of conferring AIFI Awards to its members for excellence in forging production in terms of technology, quality MIS etc. The AIFI Awards scheme would be an ongoing process and other categories of awards may also be introduced gradually.

A special jury was put in place for selecting the award winners.

For the year 2006-07 the award winners were M/s Kalyani Thermal Systems Pvt. Ltd. , Pune in the Close Die category and M/s Chaudhry Hammer Works Ltd., Ghaziabad in the Open Die category.

The awards were handed over to the winners in a special ceremony at the recently held Annual General Meeting of the AIFI at Varkala, Kerala on 23rd September 2007.
