President’s Message

Dear Members,

We are pleased to invite you to ASIAFORGE 2008 which is being hosted by the Association of Indian Forging Industry at New Delhi in March 17-19, 2008 for the 2 bi-annual meeting of ASIAFORGE 2008.

ASIAFORGE was established in April 2005 on the sidelines of The International Forging Congress held at Nagoya, Japan, with the aim of promoting growth of the forging industry in the Asian region, through enhanced regional cooperation and to build networks amongst the forging fraternity in Asia.

The 1st ASIAFORGE meeting hosted by Japan Forging Association in Osaka, Japan during 6th and 7th November 2006 was a grand success.

The key purposes of this bi-annual meet are to establish business relationships and to exchange views amongst the forging fraternity in the Asian region, under the theme, “Globalization through regional cooperation”.

ASIAFORGE 2008 would be a mega event covering the multifarious dimensions of forging trade and industry including exhibition, presentation of technical papers by renowned experts in the world, plant visits for foreign delegates, cultural events, etc.

ASIAFORGE 2008 is a forum for creating bonds of friendship, sharing of information on forging technologies and related areas, and of course exchanging views on the overall environment for the industry in the region. ASIAFORGE 2008 will contribute not only to progress in the forging industry in Asia but also to the development of the automotive and other related industries.

The event will be attended by a wide spectrum of the forging fraternity straddling technical, manufacturing and general management areas and varied disciplines within the industry. The participants, needless to say, perform crucial role(s) in their respective organizations in the decision making process.

Finally, we will endeavor to make ASIAFORGE 2008 a lively and useful one, with opportunities for the participants to renew old friendships and make new ones.

We look forward to meeting many of you from forging industries in Asia and the world.

Vidyashankar Krishnan
