Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI), over the years, has been catering to the needs of forging industry in India. AIFI has reached a milestone by completing its 50th anniversary on 1st October 2015. It is indeed my honour and privilege for having been nominated as the President of AIFI. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing President, Mr Ranbir Singh, under whose dynamic leadership the Association has grown both in membership and activity.
Forging Industry, as rightly said, is considered as the backbone of manufacturing sector in India. The industry has been growing at a steady pace over the years. It is envisaged that the forging industry will continue to grow at 10% per annum.
As an industry we have lot of opportunity today. To capitalise on this we need to get Government support with regard to certain policy decisions. Hence, under my term as the President of AIFI, I would like to ensure the Association will endeavour to engage with the policy makers and get some of the current issues resolved, so that we can achieve overall economic growth in the industry.
We have a dedicated managing committee to support these activities and I look forward to their full involvement to achieve the objectives. I count on the support and cooperation of Mr. R. Sivaprasad Reddy and Regional Chairmen to help the Association’s march into future and meeting the challenges faced by the forging industry from time to time.
With best regards,
(Mr. S. Muralishankar)
